Plot Synopsis
Pippin, the son of Charlemagne is a Candide-like figure seeking glory first in war, then as a lover, and finally as a leader of social causes. After failing at all three, he is happy to compromise by settling down to middle-class domesticity with a widow named Catherine. All is presented by a leading player and a performing troupe.
