Plot Synopsis
The story concerns the Smith family as they look forward to the St. Louis World's Fair of 1904. The family consists of Rose, the eldest daughter; Esther the middle daughter in love with the boy next door, Lon, the eldest child headed for Princeton; and the two youngest girls, along with Grandpa and Katie, the family cook. Problems arise when Father announces that his job is going to take him to New York and his intentions to move the family there. All is resolved in time with some of the most delightful music in recent times, made even more memorable by the MGM movie starring Judy Garland.
