Plot Synopsis

The story covers 50 years in the life of a married couple, Agnes and Michael, from their wedding day until the day they move out of their house. During that time, they bring up a family, quarrel, threaten to break up, reconcile, plan for their life without children around the house, and reveal (in song) exactly what they mean to each other.
