Our show costumes for this musical are very popular, and, we think, do justice in suggesting the Broadway originals. Our Finishing Touches page of our Showplot™ offers recommendations for hair and facial hair for Bobby and Zangler, as well as many other necessary pieces to complete the look of the show. Also available for rental are the white, non-working CANDLESTICK TELEPHONES for the pink dancers of Bobby's imagination.
Plot Synopsis
Banker Bobby Child , who would rather be in show business, is sent by his mother to foreclose a mortgage on a property in Deadrock, Arkansas. The property turns out to be a theatre. Bobby falls for the postmistress, the daughter of the man with the mortgage. Boy loses girl...there are mistaken identities...eventually they put on a show to save the theatre and boy gets girl back.
